Science Fiction/Western Hybrid ‘Defiance’ Gets New Trailer

Defiance, the new television show coming to SyFy in America and Showcase in Canada, is set to premier in both countries on April 15. The show will be science-fiction based, with a western feel – where the cowboys are humans with a smattering of advanced technology and the Indians are aliens.

SyFy and Showcase both had the foresight to pick up Lost Girl in their respective countries of operation and it proved to be successful in both places, although it premiered in Canada a year before it did in the States. If their eye holds true, this could be just as good – if not better. If it’s successful, even more attention will be paid to the MMO the property is attached to.
