Issue Three – Superhero Riot

where Jericho talks about comic book movies and television show before explaining why white people aren’t rioting

Actually, I believe the band is called Opa! and the song’s title is “Russian State Museum’s Lottery.” Either way, you can find it on Free Music Archive.

If you haven’t seen the Ant Man trailer, here it is. In particular, look at Yellowjacket and tell me his costume isn’t designed for toy sales – I dare ya!

Kevin Smith puts Fatman on Batman on the YouTubes, so I can just embed the Daredevil episode:

Have a look at Jared Leto as Joker for yourself.

Brad Sucks is on the internet, and he releases a lot of music through ccMixter. If you like his stuff, you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding it. The remix is by Piero Peluche, who is also on ccMixter.

I couldn’t find the picture I originally saw on the book of Faces, but here’s another example of the same thing from a Twitter twit:

The two numbers I added:
—-White people make up 63.7% of the population.
—-African-Americans make up 12.2% of the population.

With a little math, we can see that there are 5.2 times as many whites as blacks. That means the number of white deaths would have to reach 1,212 in a year to be as common an occurrence in the white community as it is in the black community. As it is, a black person is 2.9 times as likely to be shot by the police.

The last song is by Josh Woodward. You can find it here. You can find his website here, with plenty more music to sample.

The opening theme is “Lounge” by Dead Peoples Records. This podcast was recorded and cleaned up with Audacity. Hosting thanks to the Internet Archive. The Cobblestone Gonzos logo created by Jericho McCune, derived from a photograph taken by Benjamin Wiens.
